Without any doubt nearly every family I know has been affected by drugs and alcohol use in America. On any street corner in our cities, the problem has grown exponentially. I want to let you know that there is hope. Not everyone wants to be helped. Many are afraid for their addiction to be made known, fearful of what others may think. In reality, and in most cases, others already know. You are usually the last one to know that others know. Snap out of it! We're dealing with a matter of being free and happy, or bound up and miserable. It doesn't take a genius to know which choice is better.
After 18 yrs. of drinking and drug use, God in His mercy led me to help. Being sober today, I now feel a purpose in living by helping others, afterall, someone helped me. It's great to wake ready to face the day with enthusiasm, as opposed to being frozen to the bed from overdoing it at the bar the night before, wow, I can still remember. For me and millions like me worldwide, we drinkers and dopers have to work our sobriety everyday. We must ask God to help us stay sober the first thing. Then we must feed ourselves spiritually by putting good things into our minds and hearts, carrying those thoughts with us throughout the day. This is where my book comes in. Its called "Under The Influence." This is a daily guide, designed to put us into a sober frame of mind each day. Its release, sometime after the first of the year, will be a help to many. I will be posting exerpts from the book soon, at this sight. In addition, I will be blogging along here as well. Let me know if I can help you. You do not have to worry if you are remaining anonymous, you're secret is safe. You may also ask for help for another, place questions under comments. I will do my best to keep this fresh with different topics, keep it humorous, make it enjoyable. God bless you all. Stay clean, sober, and hook up with God regularly...He's wondering where you're at.
